Functions and propulsion systems
The most equipped versions of the Toyota Urban Cruiser 2022 include a panoramic roof, 360-degree camera, wireless charging, ventilated seats and USB charging ports. In terms of connectivity, it has voice control compatible with Google Assistant and Siri.
The propulsion options have a 1.5-liter mild hybrid gasoline engine, a small 6 Ah battery that delivers 101 hp and 135 Nm of torque. The transmission can be a five-speed manual or a six-speed automatic with front-wheel drive.

Then there is the self-recharging hybrid version that is equipped with a 1.5-liter engine, an electric motor and a larger battery. Total power is 114 hp and 141 Nm of torque. Power goes to the front axle via an e-Drive transmission. Measuring 4.36 meters in length, the new 2022 Toyota Urban Cruiser will be manufactured at the Bidadi plant in Karnataka, India. It will also be marketed in other African regions, Europe and Latin America.
